Being a socially responsible company, Efes Kazakhstan constantly provides financial assistance to socially vulnerable population: orphanages, disabled people societies, children from low-income families, Great Patriotic War veterans and retirees. At the same time, our company actively provides financial support to official non-governmental organizations and charitable foundations that provide assistance to those in need. For example, we covered Almaty Region with our help: Council of Veterans of Department of Emergency Situations, Kazakh Society of Blind People (Kaskelen), Council of Great Patriotic War Veterans of Yeltai District, Secondary School No. 20 of Ili District (Rakhat VIllage), Orphanage No. 1 of Almaty, low-income families and elderly residents of Karasai District. In Karaganda Region: a shelter for orphans of Novodolinka Village, Shakhtinsk, 'Boarding School No. 93' State Institution, orphans and disabled children through Karaganda Region Department of Education, 'Boarding School for Mentally Retarded Children' State Institution, 'Botakoz' Infant Orphanage of Karaganda, 'Kamkor' and 'Umit' Disabled People Associations, 'Shapagat' Foundation for Social Initiatives, Street Soccer Association of Karaganda, etc.
In June 2013, thanks to the sponsorship of Efes Kazakhstan, 'Aquatorium' Aquatic Complex was opened at Rehabilitation Center of Association of Parents of Disabled Children in Almaty (ARDI). It consists of a swimming pool, a sauna, a shower room, covered pavilions, an equipped beach area and a place for relaxation. The physical rehabilitation of cerebral palsy children is carried out through therapeutic swimming. This project will significantly improve the health of children and their psychological well-being. In 2016, we sponsored production of audio description for social movie 'To Be or Not to Be' filmed by ARDI Studio and featuring disabled children to be displayed in movie theaters. Thus, visually impaired people were able to watch the movie.
Since 2014, we have been supporting a project of 'Voluntary Society for Mercy' Public Foundation titled 'Fighting Autism', and we fund the activities of centers for parents and children with autism in Kyzyl-Orda (since 2014) and Karaganda (since 2015): rent of a house for classes, fees payable to a Moscow specialist who trains parents how to deal with disabled children, sports and training inclusive programs and lectures held for medical doctors, students and teachers. In addition, as a part of the project, local mother tutors are trained to help the needy families. In Karaganda, Association of Parents of Autistic Children (ARDA Karaganda) is our main partner.
In 2016, jointly with Equestrian Sports Association of Almaty, we arranged regular classes held at Special (Correctional) Boarding School No. 2 as a part of 'Hypotherapy' and 'Special Olympics' programs, where horses were placed at the area of boarding school. The program covered 375 children. It is scientifically proven that training with horses has a positive effect on physical, psychological and emotional state of children. But the most important thing is that horse riding helps use the muscles that are not used by a sick child in his/her usual life.

We regularly sponsor cultural events and concerts, and support sports teams. From 2004 through 2011, our company arranged a series of music festivals in Karaganda called 'Musicar' where famous pop and rock stars such as 'Beasts', 'Bi-2', 'Mumiy Troll', 'A-Studio', etc., took part. The total expenditures on the festivals amounted to KZT 365 million. Over the recent years we have supported Equestrian Federation of Kazakhstan, a taekwondo team in Karaganda, a team of veteran wrestlers of Karasai District (Almaty Region), and Street Soccer League in Karaganda. Thanks to our sponsorship, schoolchildren from a sports school of Eltai Village won many competitions. We became partners of 'Shakhter' Soccer Club (Karaganda), which is the first Kazakhstan soccer team qualified to Europe League, and funded the celebration of its 55th anniversary.
Since 2016, Efes Kazakhstan has been a main sponsor of website www.SocReklama.kz, a non-commercial project, which is a collection of examples of the best world and Kazakhstan social advertising. The website is the only resource in Kazakhstan that represents the most interesting and creative ideas of professionals and amateurs, who create non-commercial advertising, and is intended to reflect the important problems of society.
